Haku Baikou

I received some bad news last night that Haku Baikou has passed on. I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with her work or her website, but she was one of the few spirited pioneers in the Rurouni Kenshin Fandom. She created a beautiful website that helped connect the fans in RK and even stimulated the fandom with contests and her own fanfiction.

If you would like more information about her or to contribute to the scholarship they are setting up in her memory, please go here.

I'm deeply, deeply saddened by this and I hope you guys can keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

If you would like to see more of her work, you can visit her Deviant Art account here: http://hakubaikou.deviantart.com/

And if you'd like to see her website for RK, you can visit it here: http://hakubaikou.com/

But I have decided that I will finish Battousai High and dedicate it to her. My aim is for at least one page a month.

I am currently enrolled at DigiPen and the art program here is serious business, keeping me tucked up under a sketchbook for near all of my free time.

But from here on, Haku Baikou, this is for you.

Her sister posted in HB's journal on DeviantArt that she died in a car accident.

My condolences for her family and friends. It a sad day when someone as talented as her passes away. But her memory wil live on in her art. Thank you Haku Baikou for your works. God bless. And thank you for letting us knows and the links. Take care.
It's incredibly sad. Here is an article about her: http://cinema.usc.edu/about/news/charlene-sun-06.htm
Thank you for the link.
FYI. The link URL has changed because of changes to the host website. Is there anyone who can post an updated link?
Which link? The one to cinema.usc.edu? I tried searching for her name there (both her screen name and real name) and no results came up.
A horrible, horrible loss for the RK fandom. She was one of the best of us, both art wise and fanfiction wise. Hakubaikou's light has gone out and will be sorely missed in this dying fandom.
I know RK will always have fans, its the fair weathered ones that move on to what's popular.

But RK will always have a place in fans' hearts.
I am truly sorry and you have my heartfelt condolences, sister and the rest of the family of Haku Baikou. I followed her fanfictions on ff.net and I saw a few of her breathtaking artworks, I can tell she put her soul in it. This is such heartbreaking news...rest in peace, Haku Baikou, even though I never met you or had any contact with you, you will always live on in mine and everybody's memories through your work, for clearly, your soul shone brightly through your works. I have always admired your works, I was a big fan. May you rest in peace and may you continue to do more wonderful artkworks in Heaven...
